Mitra obtained her Dental Hygiene licence in 2014 from Oxford College. She joined our office in 2017, where she covered a maternity leave for a staff member. We fell in love with Mitra instantly and hired her permanently and she has been here ever since! Mitra works at both our North York and Richmond Hill locations so she has really gotten to know many patients from both of our offices throughout the years. Not only is Mitra a registered Dental Hygienist, but she is also a Registered Nurse here in Canada. Mitra attained her academic qualifications from Shiraz University of Medical Science, where she graduated in 2000 and later recertified at a registered Nurse in Canada. With over ten years of experience working in a critical care unit setting as a registered Nurse, Mitra is able to use some of her many ”nursing” talents by caring for our patients with a different set of eyes as well as assisting in our phlebotomy procedures for our major dental surgeries. Mitra is a reliable, responsive, and highly knowledgeable Hygienist and Nurse. Mitra is not just a specialist with qualification, but a human being with a kind heart and willingness to serve. Mitra enjoys spending time with her husband, son and dog. Mitra is also fluent in English and Farsi.

Hello! My name’s Jazelle and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist here at Newtonbrook Dental! I have lived here in Toronto, Canada all of my life and can confidently say that this city is my home.
After studying Dental Hygiene during the pandemic at George Brown College, I almost instantly started working here with the dream team and I have been loving the dental field more and more ever since!
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, I strive to work alongside my clients in a collaborative effort to help achieve not only a healthy, confident smile, but sustainable overall health.
Growing up, I used to say that one of my passion’s in life is to make people smile! And if you leave the dental chair with a smile on your face (as well as a clean one), then I’ve done my part.
I enjoy playing sports, baking, and arts and crafts. I love to sing, play instruments and work with children and animals. From traveling to curling up watching a movie – you can find me spending quality time with friends, family, and my beautiful dog during my time away from the clinic.
